I recreated the compound of my school, a grammar school in southern Germany (in which I spent seven years of my life), in the video game Minecraft. Since it is in the nature of a video game that you can move around in a digital world, this is so much more than just a model. When I move my video game character around in this building, a lot of memories and emotions are being triggered and it isn’t a “game” anymore at all.
As a visitor, you could do the same and move around the map using a game controller.
